Plenty to see & do...

Ullapool Village
The village itself has a museum, a theatre, two supermarkets, and a wide selection of pubs and restaurants, several of which host live music. There are annual book and music festivals, including the famous Loopallu pop concerts. The Leisure Centre has a large swimming pool and tennis courts.

Golf
There is a nine hole golf course, opened by Prince Andrew, with a touch of links and moorland to it and great views of Loch Broom and the Summer Isles. Non-members welcome and club hire available.

Walking
Ailleag is situated at the start of the path up to Ullapool Hill, and there are numerous footpaths along rocky coasts and peaceful Lochs. The area has some of the finest summits in the north west highlands, including the iconic Stach Pollaidh.

Fishing
Ullapool offers both loch or sea fishing and permits can be purchased in the local shops.

Boat Trips
The Stornoway ferry leaves daily for the Isle of Lewis, and the Summer Queen has shorter cruises to Isle Martin bird sanctuary and seal isles.

Beaches
Gruinard Bay - 45 minutes by car - has three beautiful beaches, with pink sand from the Torridon rocks, whilst close to Lochinver are the Sands of Achmelvich.

Gardens
The world famous Inverewe Gardens are a 50 minute drive away, a remarkable array of plants showing the impact of the Gulf Stream. Leckmelm Garden and Lael Forest Garden are a few miles from Ullapool whilst on the shore of Loch  Chairn Bhairn,  Kerrachar Garden is a true plantsman's garden.

Other Attractions
